Boyce Precision Engineering (BPE) is a family run engineering business, launched in 2006 by brothers George and Brian Boyce. Employing a team of over 30 staff, BPE specialise in machining aircraft parts and furnishings, components for medical and pharmaceutical companies and parts for the automotive and motorsport industry. BPE have also provided props for the film and television industry.
I worked with BPE as a freelance Marketing Manager, providing consultancy services and practical support to deliver projects, as and when required. Examples of my work include the following:
Website Audit
I conducted a website audit on behalf of Boyce Precision Engineering to review the design and content of the site and make recommendations for improvement. This included guidance on website layouts which could be incorporated into the updated design, more in-depth content, new sections and media content which could be added to enhance the overall user experience and tell more of the BPE growth story and areas of expertise.
SEO Copywriting
I undertook keyword research and copywriting services to assist with the development of user friendly and search engine friendly content for the web pages of the site. I also drafted the Meta Data for the pages of the site.
Article Writing
I have edited various articles and written new features to populate the website’s news and blog section as a source of up-to-date information on the company’s activities. I have also assisted the team with the development of an annual PR Plan.
Media Content
I have organised photography services, planned photo shoots and met and briefed video producers on requirements on behalf of the team.
Event Planning
I have assisted the team to plan for upcoming trade shows, recruitment fairs and also organised a presentation and tour of their new factory premises for local business representatives from ABC Business Network.
