Company Overview
Based in Newcastle, County Down, Act to Connect provide invaluable emotional and behavioural support for young people, specialising in those with ADHD, Anxiety and Autism. Act to Connect offer in-person and online support, supporting young people and their families across the island of Ireland.
Project Goal
The business owner appointed Digital Den Marketing to advise on the development of a new website to replace the initial version which had been developed in-house on a limited budget when the business had been launched. Digital Den aimed to create a more professional, user-friendly site that reflected the organisations values and had the potential to generate online enquiries. Support included sourcing a web design partner (SMK Creations) who could bring the vision to life, advising on content planning, and optimisation for search, and providing practical implementation support, where necessary.
Project Elements
- Marketing Performance Audit: A website audit was carried out, where improvements to the website design, navigation and content were identified. The aim was to increase click-through rates, enhance user experience and support generation of customer enquiries and new client acquisition.
- Project Management: Digital Den Marketing procured a suitable website designer within bud
get for the new site and briefed the web designer on the client’s requirements. Denise was on hand to provide ongoing advice and support to both parties throughout the development process to ensure development remained aligned with the client’s vision.
- Process development and templates: Guidance on planning and developing website content was provided along with templates, outlining key aspects to consider when drafting page content. The client was keen to collate much of the content herself and was able to use these tools to develop first drafts of the copy for the service pages and other key pages of the site.
- Content Writing and Editing: Where necessary, page reviews and content editing support were provided to effectively communicate key messages on the website to potential customers. Digital Den’s copywriting skills meant that the client had the option of an additional resource to keep the project moving forward while she was busy serving her clients.
- Search Engine Optimisation: Through targeted keyword research, we provided insights to the client on how customers search for products and services online. Guidance was given on how to implement SEO best practice within the site content and meta data. This included templates with worked examples to support the client in her efforts to improve the visibility of her web pages online and help those searching for a specific service to find her site.
Results
The redesigned Act to Connect website is visually engaging, with a clear navigation structure that enables visitors to quickly explore services, read success stories, and utilise relevant resources. The website effectively communicates the team’s skills and expertise in supporting young children and families across Ireland, helping visitors understand how Act to Connect’s services can enhance their own children’s wellbeing.
